THREE RIVERS CAST IRON COOKERS
A Chapter of Mid-Columbia Traditional Arts and Music Association
We are Dutch Oven and Cast Iron cooking enthusiasts; located in the southeast corner of Washington State (Pasco-Kennewick-Richland).
We love to get together and cook! We host cookouts at homes, parks and campouts; we do occasional demonstrations to teach the public ‘How To’ and some ‘History’ of Dutch Oven Cooking. TRCIC is also a participant and partner in two large events;
- The Sacajawea Bluegrass Festival & Dutch Oven Rendezvous (spring) — During the Festival & Rendezvous we host a cooking area in conjunction with the campout and a Dutch Oven Rendezvous potluck dinner for Dutch Oven Cooks. Anyone bringing a dish cooked in a Dutch Oven (over coals) may participate in the potluck dinner.
- Sacajawea Heritage Days (fall) — During the free to the public Heritage Days event, we demo (in heritage attire) and teach mini workshops at one of the ‘living history’ stations to many of the1000 visiting school children who attend.
There are many different ways to be involved with Three Rivers Cast Iron Cookers. Which activities are a good fit for you? Join us for everything, or pick what interests you! We simply love the community and fellowship of spending time with folks and families who share our interests and passions.
Since we are a chapter of Mid-Columbia Traditional Arts and Music Association, we experience many cooks who are learning to play and musicians who are learning to cook.
Good food ~ Good music ~ and Good friends!
